Cutting Optimizer for Panel Saws

MobiCut

MobiCut turns your cutting list into optimized boards and a real cut sequence, executable on your panel saw. From the TopSolid Excel to the machine in three clicks: import, optimize, export — with QR labels per piece, offcut control and the smart features a real workshop needs.

MobiCut — Cutting Optimizer for Panel Saws

Key Features

High-utilization optimization

MAXRECTS + guillotine engine: tries 8 placement strategies and generates an edge-to-edge cut tree any panel saw can execute.

Direct export to your panel saw

Generates the native file for 4 machine families: Homag/Holzma (.bpp), Biesse/Selco (.csf), SCM/Giben (.cut) and Striebig (.csv), with the cut sequence in executable order.

Automatic mother piece

Detects pieces your edgebander cannot process and groups them in pairs into a mother piece that is edgebanded whole and split afterwards — with full instructions on the label.

Offcuts first

After each optimization it detects usable offcuts and stores them in the warehouse. In the next optimization they are offered automatically before cutting new boards.

QR labels with visual designer

Design your label by dragging elements: QR, piece diagram with its edges, client, project, batch. Output to PDF or direct printing on thermal printers.

Excel import in seconds

Reads the TopSolid Excel (or any CSV/XLSX) with automatic column mapping and reusable profiles. Clients and projects are created automatically on import.

Continuous-grain cluster — standard, not a paid extra

Mark the fronts of a drawer stack with one click and MobiCut cuts them from the same board, side by side, in mounting order and never rotated: the grain flows from one drawer to the next as if they were a single piece. In the big industrial optimizers this is a premium module you pay extra for — dearly. In MobiCut it comes standard with every installation.

  • Mark the pieces in the list with the same id (CL1) — nothing else
  • They come out of the same board, contiguous and in the marked mounting order
  • Locked against rotation: even free-rotation mode never turns them
  • The plan draws the whole block and each label states its position: CONTINUOUS GRAIN 1/5, 2/5…

The assembler cannot get it wrong

Every piece in the cluster comes out with its numbered label: "Front · CONTINUOUS GRAIN 3/5 · CLUSTER CL1", with its QR, its edgebanding and its ElementID. In the workshop they are stacked in order as they leave the saw, and at assembly the drawer stack gets a perfect grain match at the first attempt — no double-checking, no re-cuts, no arguments.

Mother piece: small parts stop being a problem

Your edgebander has two physical limits: minimum feed length and minimum width under the presser. MobiCut checks every edge to be banded against those limits and, when a piece is impossible to band, automatically pairs it with its twin into a mother piece.

  • You configure YOUR edgebander's minimums: feed length and presser width
  • Always pairs identical pieces two by two; odd quantities get a sacrifice strip
  • The label tells how to split the mother and which side to re-band after cutting
  • Edgebanding meters are computed on the real mother piece — costs are not inflated

An offcut warehouse that works by itself

When each optimization finishes, MobiCut shows you the usable offcuts left over and you save the ones you want in one click. Next time you optimize that material, available offcuts enter the engine BEFORE new boards — and they keep the original board's grain.

Every piece comes out with its label

CAD-style label designer: place text, QR, piece diagram with its L1/L2/H1/H2 edges, client, project and batch wherever you want, in millimeters. Print to PDF or directly on your Brother, Zebra or HP thermal printer, no intermediate steps.

From cutting to finishing: lacquer recipes

Define finishing recipes with their phases (sanding, priming, coats, drying) and RAL/NCS color codes. Pieces requiring lacquer automatically generate their PDF travel card for the finishing shop.
